The Kia EV2 is already making its mark, securing the title of Crossover of the Year at the inaugural CAR Genius Awards 2026.
The award marks one of the first major accolades for Kia's newest electric model, recognising the EV2 for bringing big-car comfort, practicality and technology together in a compact electric package.
The CAR Genius Awards are a brand-new addition from CAR Magazine, which has been celebrating the best of the automotive world for more than 60 years. The inaugural awards recognise the year's standout cars, people and ideas, with winners selected by a panel of experts from the CAR editorial team.
The EV2 impressed judges with its combination of compact dimensions, bold styling, impressive comfort and practical interior space.
Small in Size, Big on Practicality
The EV2 is Kia's smallest and most affordable electric vehicle in Europe, but its compact footprint doesn't mean compromising on space.
Designed and engineered in Europe for European drivers, the EV2 combines a distinctive, boxy shape with room for five people and a competitive amount of cargo space. Its dedicated electric architecture also allows for a completely flat cabin floor, creating a spacious and comfortable interior for both drivers and passengers.
The EV2 Standard Range launched earlier this year with a 42.2kWh battery, while the 61.0kWh Long Range version is joining the line-up throughout the remainder of 2026.
With a range of up to 275 miles on a single charge and three trim levels - Air, GT-Line and GT-Line S - there's plenty of choice across the EV2 range.
