Show Time!
It’s that time of year again, the sun is out, the air con is on full blast and show season 2022 is in full swing for Acorn.
The First event of the season was the Reaseheath College family day on the 15th of May which ended up being a great success. The turnout was amazing, we handed out a bucket load of sweets, spoke to a lot of stressed parents and despite the fact we didn’t pick up too many leads on the day, we had a fantastic day engaging with our local community.
Following this was the Stafford show on the 1st and 2nd of June. Co-ordinated by our very own Amanda Buckley and Jim Pickerill, it’s unsurprising that the entire operation went very smoothly, and again, the event was a major success. Plenty of leads attained, the team handled themselves superbly, we won best stand for our category, and we were even left with some lovely comments. The pick of the bunch? - “The pitch was next to my old mates at Stoke Land Rover and the Acorn pitch clearly eclipsed it in all manner of detail so bloody great job.”
Lastly, we had the Stone Festival on the 18th of June. After a VERY hot day of set up on Friday, Mandy’s brilliant site foreman skills, Zach’s keen eye for stand layout and a tremendous all round team effort, we were set for Saturday. With Amanda running point again, a consistently busy stand, plenty of leads, Wes taking photos and Bobby loving life parading the Mayor and Mayoress of Stone about, a good day was had all round.
