September 9th marked the 1st Anniversary of Acorn Kia in Macclesfield! A whole year and it has flown by! Celebrating this milestone combined with the preview of the exciting new Kia EV3 gave us the perfect opportunity to invite many of our amazing customers to the dealership. This also offered us a chance to showcase how far we have come in 12 months as well as giving everyone an insight into what is coming in the future.
Head of Business at Macclesfield, Simon Allen said “When Acorn took over the well-established site from JJ Cookson Peugeot, we swiftly transformed the appearance to the latest Kia branding externally and partially internally. Many existing staff members transitioned from the previous Peugeot franchise to enable the handover to be as smooth as possible with the existing Macclesfield customers.
As you might expect, the past 12 months have not been without the odd challenge. A key focus has been expanding our Aftersales team to meet the growing demand, which led to Kyllam, John, and Mario joining Dave and Simon in the workshop. They’ve become part of a seasoned team, with Simon recently celebrating his impressive 35-year anniversary at the Macclesfield site!
Tony and Tom (the dream team) consistently keep the cars coming through in immaculate condition from the valeting and preparation bay, for both sales and service, on time every time! Sales are going from strength to strength with additions to the team of Nadine from Crewe and Joe joining us in his 1st car sales role. A huge shout out to Danielle and Lesley who have achieved an incredible number 1 aftersales position in the UK for customer service which is an amazing result!
In the parts department, Steve has done a stellar job, using his 18+ years of experience at the Macclesfield site to great effect. To drive the department forward even more, we welcomed Jordan from Mercedes, who has already proven to be a fantastic addition to the team.
After a year of ‘bedding in’ we are successfully building both brands and putting Acorn Kia Macclesfield firmly on the map. New IT systems, workshop equipment, training and upgrading of the current facilities to name but a few changes, has made the “Mighty Macc” a great asset to the group and part of the ever-growing Acorn Motor Group".
